        In Latacunga, you’ll take part in the Máchica Experience, learning about this ancestral Andean tradition from grain to cup. Toast barley over the fire, grind it by hand, and taste comforting preparations such as coladas, banana cake and the local liqueur Mashcazo, all shared in a warm setting enriched with stories of the region.

        Later in the day, embark on a journey to the highlands of San Cristobal Island. Your first stop is El Junco, a sizable sweetwater lagoon, the only one of its kind in the Galapagos Islands. A short walk around the lagoon unveils its natural beauty. Continuing by car, you'll reach La Galapaguera, a sanctuary for native Galapagos plants and tortoises.         Rise and shine for an exhilarating day! Head to Kicker Rock, one of the Galapagos Islands' most awe-inspiring landmarks. Arriving at the passenger pier, you'll board a speedboat ready to set sail on this thrilling expedition.

        Kicker Rock, composed of two volcanic rocks towering 140 meters above the water, is a marvel off the coast of San Cristobal Island. Known as "León Dormido" in Spanish, resembling a sleeping lion when viewed from the south, and "Kicker Rock" from another perspective, resembling a boot. This formation in the middle of the ocean is a haven for marine birds and diverse underwater life.

        Marvel at the natural erosion that has created a channel between the rocks, establishing an ideal habitat for sharks, manta rays, and a plethora of aquatic wildlife.         The rest of the afternoon is at leisure, or you can opt for a cooking class. Accompanied by a local chef, visit the fish market to select the catch of the day, then prepare it and enjoy a delicious dinner.

        Possible islands include:
        Santa Fe: One of the oldest islands, home to Santa Fe land iguanas and giant Opuntia cacti, with great snorkeling.
        Plaza Sur: Known for its red vegetation, land iguanas and abundant birdlife such as blue-footed boobies and frigatebirds.
